Open Access
Our open access mental health Day Centre provides support, during the day, for people suffering from, and recovering from, mental and emotional distress.
The Day Centre team offer planned and focussed time limited interventions shaped around individualised needs to enable people suffering from and recovering from mental distress to access mainstream community life as equal citizens.
This support takes the form of leisure and social activities. The centre is open from 12 noon to 2pm each weekday except Tuesday and from 10am – 2pm on Saturdays.
A healthy light lunch is available in our cafeteria as well as tea and coffee throughout the sessions for a minimal charge. The Café has proved a successful stepping-stone both for support from peer groups and to find out more about opportunities available within Mind in Bexley and the local community. It also provides a non-stigmatising environment where members of the public can access information and advice around wellbeing issues.
The centre also offers a range of facilities, including computers and areas to socialise and relax. This is a dry centre; people who have had alcohol or taken illegal drugs on the day will not be admitted.
You do not need a referral or an appointment to visit our Day Centre.
